Agriculture provides gainful employment and livelihood for majority of India's population and contributes significantly to the basket of national income.
As there exists a potential to save approximately 25-30% of petroleum fuel being consumed by agriculture sector, PCRA started undergoing various activities in collaboration with Agriculture Universities in different states by spreading the message amongst farmers community to adopt simple tips on petroleum conservation as well as educating them to adopt newer fuel efficient equipments/ products introduced in the market related to agriculture sector. PCRA faculties along with faculties of Agriculture Universities participate in various programs like Kisan Mela, Agriculture workshops, Seminars and Exhibitions etc. to educate the students, farming communities & rural households.
