Introduction
The proposal for setting up a working group of Industry consisting of representatives of IOCL, BPCL and HPCL under Chairmanship of ED PCRA was approved in 91st EC Meeting of PCRA.
Subsequent to the formation of Working group ,a benchmarking study of energy efficiency of LPG Plants of IOCL, BPCL & HPCL was carried out. Exercise of Energy Efficiency Indexing of 198 Nos of LPG Bottling Plants across IOC,BPC & HPC has been completed by PCRA.
PCRA has developed the indexing of LPG Plants based on their energy consumption data for 2020-21 and also developed an Energy Efficiency index for a peer-to-peer comparison w.r.t. energy-efficient operations of LPG Plants. PCRA’s First Energy Efficiency Indexing of LPG Bottling Plants has been launched during SAKSHAM 2022.
LPG Plants have been Ranked based on their Energy Performance based on FY 2020-21 details and Split into 4 slabs as below:
